I watched the anime film years ago on ‘Toonami’, & I really want to know what it is, help? It had ‘mutants’ in?

Basically, I watched it years ago and can only remember little bits of it. Specifically the ending…

In the film there were these ‘mutants’ or monsters waging war against the human race, and mainly fought out on the sea… I think. But these ‘mutants’ were created by an old man, initially. At the end, the ‘mutants’ lost, and I can remember one of the them crawling out of the sea and onto the island where the old man lived. The audience also find out that the old man has no heart, just wires, as he gave his heart to the machine that was creating the ‘mutants’, supposedly as it was the heart of the machine… I don’t know. Anyway, as the ‘mutant’ crawled out of the sea, the old man died and the ‘mutant’ cried ‘papa, papa’ and carried him off into the sea.

A little info bout the main ‘mutant’, that I can remember, he was very tall, muscular, purple, with a orangey/brown mohawk… I think. When he spoke he had a kind of deep female, manly, voice.

That’s everything that I can remember. I really want to see this film again as it’s been stuck in my head for years…. please help.

Cheers

T

I cant remember a film (cartoon) i watched when i was little ?

I remember it had like little pixies or something as the main characters. The bad guy was a big sludge creature (cant remember the name) which was actually the smoke from a large machine that was cutting down the forest. That’s all i can remember well but i think the main character was a girl.

Anime film Directors question?

How does the behind-the-scenes of anime shows and movies exactly? Does somebody have the image of it and direct the artists and animators or is the director usually an animator that has been successful enough to direct something? Like do people go to college to direct even if they dont have talent in drawing?
What about Hayao Miyazaki? Does he animate his films too or just direct

What is the technique used by film and TV makers during production that reduces the sharpness of the images?

I think the title is self explanatory, however, what is it called when they do this?

I ask as I see deleted scenes or out-takes from films on DVD extras and the images are a lot sharper than if they were actually in the film. Surely during post-production a technique is applied to them to make them less sharp?
The first answer is not a technique during POST-production, more a technique during shooting. Anybody actually know it and not try and score points with wild, naff guesses?
